The club announces on it’s website:”For the third year in a row, SLM Oslo hasn’t had a real competition or a poll to choose who will represent the Norwegian leather community in Europe. Instead, the board and key players in the leatherscene have come with a proposal to a candidate, after which someone is asked whether he wanted to run. This year, the choice was Gustaw.”
The board also announces they will again introduce a poll-system next year.
About the newly chosen titleholder, the board writes:”Gustaw lives in Oslo, is 29 years old and studies at the Faculty of Law in Oslo. He has been a member of the club for a little over a year and thinks the club is a cool place to visit with many nice people. His main concern is that the club will become an attractive place for young men who like fetish. He thinks there are many between 20 and 30 who like fetish and kink, but don’t dare to come to SLM.”
Gustaw is said to want the club to remain a natural meeting place for people of of one’s own age and hopes more youngsters will have the courage to stand out as gay men with a fetish interest. He also thinks it should become easier to come out in the workplace. Furthermore the relation between equal rights and child adoption has taken his interest.
The new Mr Leather Norway will be presented during Oslo Leather Pride, an event organized by the club on the 29th of June.
