Dear LeatherHistory.eu friends,
It has been almost three years since our last update and today we’re excited to share with you what we’ve been working on, and how the future looks for leatherhistory.eu and The LeatherHistory.eu Foundation.
As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve given our website a big makeover, making it more up to date, accessible and adapted to mobile use. We’ve also added some features on the backend for future development. It’s true, we had to cut out some content during transition, but all with one purpose: making sure our site is prepared for future challenges and endeavours.
Don’t worry though, despite all the changes to the site, you will still find leather history related articles here as well as our popular fetish titleholder gallery. By the way, did you know we keep track of over 50(!) European fetish titleholders at the moment?
Plans for the future
It’s not all ‘looks and cosmetics’ we have been focusing on. In fact, we have devoted most of our time to draft new plans for the foundation. “How can we better preserve the history of our community?”, “How can technology help us in our mission?” and “How do we strengthen and develop our relationship with the community?”, are but a few questions which we have debated at the LeatherHistory.eu HQ over the past few months.
You will hear much more about our plans and projects in the upcoming months via our website, but we can already reveal all our plans involve a greater community involvement.
We work for and with YOU!
We will open new possibilities for members of the European fetish community to join our in our mission to preserve European leather history. And we look forward to establish and renew our relationship with organisations, clubs and members of the community.
Arnaud is the new COO
But the biggest change to date probably hasn’t got anything to do with technicalities of our website or the future involvement of volunteers in our projects. In fact, it’s Arnaud, Mr Leather Europe 2014, who has come to join forces and has already taken on the role of COO of our organisation. Arnaud has been traveling extensively during his titleholderships and saw the need for new information management systems through the community. We know, that sounds boring, but aren’t the greatest things made of boring stuff?
“This is an excellent opportunity for me to build further on my experience as a European fetish titleholder and the work I have done in the community over the years. I greatly value the use of digital solutions and community engagement on our mission to preserve the history of the European leather and fetish community. Redeveloping our popular fetish titleholder database is currently at the top of my list, followed by a data collection program that will provide a better overview of European fetish clubs, and solutions enabling the community to more easily contribute to our work”, says Arnaud.
So in all, we have returned! We are updated and back online and look forward to work with YOU to preserve European leather history in the future!
